Indy Sagu has made a global name for himself as a leading Asian pioneer of fusion music, redefining the music industry by focusing on creating a defying musical niche of fusion British Bhangra that is distinctive to him. His urbanised record production infuses traditional Bhangra sounds and elements, musical instruments, and hook lines with western urban sounds.

As a record producer, musician, and artist, Indy is also Head Director of his own independent label, assuming the key leadership role, and inspiring constant ingenuity and motivation to continuously exceed his artistic musical capabilities. Indy’s signature is the musical composition, arrangement, production and mastering of all musical tracks with live multi-layered instruments, including string arrangements and piano loops. He is a multi-talented musician who prefers to include and personally play live instruments in his work.

Indy has found much success in record producing across many genres of music, particularly in his specialty of Bhangra, hip-hop, house, and UK garage. He spends a lot of time exploring and experimenting with a variety of sounds from various genres of music, and drawing on this wide array of genre inspiration, Indy concentrates on the production of music, specifically infusing traditional Punjabi music with sounds from around the world. He spends much time learning percussion, with the goal of introducing new vibrant beats, well-structured rhythms, funky riffs, sync-fuelled anthems, and captivating melodies, along with meaningful lyrical content, all of which result in a refinement of a uniquely fused, urbanised, East-West street sound. Indy’s sound is also strongly influenced by his personal life experiences and his Sikh heritage. He encompasses these inspirational influences and incorporates them into the production of his music.

Indy has created a campaign to raise global awareness of the existence of bullying and to ensure everyone wo needs it is aware that there is support available. He aims to help tackle this issue using music and the arts, his campaign is called ‘Bullying Beatz’.

Over the last seven to eight years, Indy has worked in education, mentoring and teaching in schools within the UK where he inspires, and is inspired by, students of all ages. He runs a self-developed workshop for schools, councils, youth projects and charities, which focuses on teaching the fundamental foundations of digital music production.
